Also referred to as Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), strong AI is focused on creating intelligent machines that can successfully perform any intellectual task that a human is able to perform without requiring retraining or use of different machine learning models for different tasks. Researchers have not yet been able to build strong AI systems capable of AGI. AGI is also referred to as Strong AI because it implies we have built an intelligence system strong enough to handle any general intelligence needs. Strong AI as a term is falling out of favor.
