A project whose primary intent is to test the capabilities of a given technology or whether or not a concept is feasible in a theoretical or general sense. Proof of concept projects are usually performed in a controlled environment with limited data that is not exposed to the real-world data or real-world systems. As a result, AI proof of concept projects have a high failure rate and low adoption rate in real-world scenarios after POC completion.
