Ellicott City, MD – AI focused research firm Cognilytica joins the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Network of Experts as invited experts. In February 2020 Cognilytica analysts were invited to present on their Seven Patterns of AI to the OECD. During that meeting OECD launched their network of experts on AI (ONE AI) and invited Cognilytica to participate in this group. Kathleen Walch, Cognilytica managing partner and analyst, has accepted the invitation and is now part of the OECD ONE AI group.
ONE AI is an advisory group providing expert input to the OECD’s analytical work on AI, identifying possible trends and topics. The members provide AI-specific expertise around policy, technical and business topics. This multi-stakeholder group consists of a diverse group of representatives from various governments, labor and business associations, academia, professional organizations, and international organizations like the EC and UNESCO. The OECD Network of Experts will meet regularly throughout the year and aims to produce deliverables to help push global AI policy forward.
“We are taking an important step towards bringing the OECD AI principles to life by launching this Observatory. It will help us nurture the development of AI that is innovative, trustworthy and human-centric,” states Gabriela Ramos, OECD Chief of Staff and Sherpa to the G20.
“We’re excited to be a part of this group to help provide our guidance on classification of AI systems and implementation of trustworthy AI on a worldwide level. By focusing on the five values-based OECD AI Principles as well as global insights we can work towards creating a practical framework reference for AI policy makers and stakeholders in their implementation efforts.” said Kathleen Walch, managing partner and principal analyst at Cognilytica.
Cognilytica is a research, advisory, and education firm focused on artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cognitive technology. Covering over 6000 technology vendors focused on the AI markets and working with hundreds of organizations across both private and public sectors, Cognilytica provides trusted research, advisory and deep insights into the evolving landscape of AI solutions and the practical, real-world implementations of cognitive technologies.
