How We Conduct Research
The general policy for Cognilytica Research is that if we don’t have a briefing with a vendor for a particular report, we don’t include the vendor in that report. It’s that simple. We don’t write research using third-party sources, press releases, or general group briefings where we can’t ask the specifics we need for our research. It doesn’t matter if the vendor is the largest, most dominant vendor in the market. No briefing, no inclusion. We will mention in any reports vendors that might be relevant to the market sector being discussed, but we will provide no other details about that vendor or include any profile information about them in our report.
This means that if you’re a vendor that’s relevant to one of the market categories above, and meet minimum qualifying thresholds in terms of revenue or funding (we don’t include too-small startups or consulting firms in our research), then you need to either respond to our reach out emails for inclusion in our research, or contact us before we begin research for each report. We conduct all our research within the specified research window start and end dates described above, and generate the report a week or so after the conclusion of all our research.
If you missed the opportunity for inclusion in a report, you will have to wait until our next report is out or work with us to find ways to include you in a previous report. Note that all briefings we have are with senior management with the vendors, and we do not hold briefings with PR agencies, product marketing individuals, or those who don’t have senior-level qualifications.
How Do I get Access to the Research?
If you are a qualified end user enterprise with at least 500 employees and not a consulting / professional services firm who is already putting AI into practice or plans to do so within the next 12 months, please contact us and we can provide information on our free advisory and research subscription offerings.
If you are a consulting firm or professional services firm, we provide access to research and advisory as part of an engagement package or as additional value for any onsite training and certification. Contact us for more details.
Vendors who are included in any research report will get an excerpt of that report in which they are featured and general report information. We do not provide access to any data or market research to vendors that are not otherwise a subscribing client of Cognilytica research. We also bundle research and advisory access with any Influence or Insight package we sell.
We do not provide access to research to students, PR firms, marketing agencies, employees of vendors, vendors who have opted not to participate in briefings or responded to briefing requests, or startup companies. Anyone wishing to gain access should reach out to us for our research and advisory offering bundles.
